Advantages of gentle therapies at a glance
About one out of every three cosmetic procedures performed in Germany is minimally invasive. And it’s no wonder, considering all the advantages non-surgical wrinkle treatments have to offer:
- No operations or anesthesia needed
- Short treatment time
- Short recovery time
- Ready to go back in public immediately
- Comparatively low treatment costs
- Low-risk, few side effects
Radiesse® treatment procedure and results
Just as with all of our treatments at KASG Ästhetik, our Radiesse® sessions always start with an individual consultation, where our medical specialist in plastic and cosmetic surgery explains the procedure and checks whether Radiesse® in Baden-Baden will provide the best results in that individual patient’s situation. The specialist explains what this minimally invasive treatment can and cannot do, along with any risks involved, so that the patient has a realistic idea of what to expect—otherwise, he or she cannot make an informed decision about whether or not to go ahead with the treatment.
Radiesse® treatments are performed on an outpatient basis, and usually take less than 30 minutes. If patients request it, we can apply a topical anesthetic cream to the treatment area. Then we disinfect the area thoroughly and inject the treatment directly underneath the skin using a fine needle. Most of the time, we can evaluate the results even while performing the treatment. After the treatment is finished, patients are usually ready to leave the clinic following a brief recovery period.
What should I expect after treatment?
Just like with any injections, patients may experience mild swelling or bruising in the treatment area. If these do occur, however, they will fade quickly, revealing the results of the procedure. Although patients should take it easy for a few days after treatment—no tanning or sauna sessions, for example—they are ready to go out in public immediately. The effects generally last about 12-18 months, though the exact length of time varies from patient to patient.
What is Radiesse® made of?
Radiesse® is mostly made up of calcium and phosphate, both of which are found naturally in the human body. This is also what makes Radiesse® a non-permanent filler—after a certain amount of time, the body will break it down—but repeating the treatment is perfectly safe, and the natural ingredients minimize the risk of adverse reactions. Although allergies and intolerances are extremely rare, we can certainly test for them prior to treatment.
Radiesse® doesn’t just plump up wrinkles, though—it also stimulates the skin to produce more collagen, which gives the skin elasticity and firmness to make it look more youthful. In fact, what makes Radiesse® so popular with patients is that it provides a “complete package” by both filling in wrinkles and improving the complexion.
